Dr Barbara Dooley is a highly experienced general practitioner working in a leading private setting, with a strong background in clinical practice, medical education and research leadership.
She qualified from UCD in 1998 and completed her specialist GP training in Kent in 2003, alongside postgraduate qualifications and MICGP membership of the Irish College of General Practitioners.
Dr Dooley has held senior academic and leadership roles, including Vice-Principal for Teaching and Learning and Director of Research for Headstrong (now Jigsaw), and has also contributed to the European Universities Association. Her clinical interests include antenatal care, paediatrics, contraceptive advice, including Implanon fitting and removal, and cervical smear testing, reflecting her broad and patient-centred approach to general practice.
