Professional statement
Dr Ailin Rogers is a consultant general and colorectal surgeon with extensive international experience, practising in a leading private setting.
She is a Professor with a PhD, has authored 97 publications, and is a regular speaker at national and international conferences, reflecting her strong academic and clinical profile. Her specialist expertise includes colorectal cancer, particularly in younger patients, as well as complex cases involving locally advanced and metastatic disease requiring multivisceral or extended resection.
Dr Rogers has completed a fellowship in advanced robotic and laparoscopic surgery, with expertise in both benign and malignant lower gastrointestinal conditions, minimally invasive surgery, and proctology, including the management of anal fissures, fistulas, and rectal bleeding. She also has experience in diverticular disease, colonoscopy and endoscopy, hernia repair, and other general surgical procedures.
She holds consultant posts at Our Lady’s Hospital Navan and the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, where she serves as Clinical Lead for Surgical Oncology and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at University College Dublin. In addition, she joined the Mater Private Network Dublin in 2023, further strengthening her contribution to surgical care and academic medicine in Ireland.
